Opportunities for prospective graduate students, interns, and postdocs.

The DARoS Lab is actively recruiting as it launches at KAIST in February 2027. Our research spans robot hardware design and development, control, perception, navigation, machine learning, and human–robot interaction (see the Research page for details). We value people who like to build real systems and run real experiments.

How to apply

Please submit the form below instead of emailing. It goes straight to Prof. Kim and keeps everything in one place.

Prospective member application form →

The form takes a few minutes. It’s the right path for prospective graduate students (MS / PhD), interns, undergraduate researchers, and postdocs.

Have ready before you start

  • A short paragraph on what you want to work on and why DARoS
  • Your CV
  • Transcript (unofficial is fine; not needed for postdocs)
  • Links to any projects, code, or publications
  • For interns: your available start and end dates
  • For postdocs: a brief research statement and two or three representative papers

Graduate admissions

Joining as an MS/PhD student also requires admission through the Kim Jaechul Graduate School of AI admissions process. Submitting the form is not a substitute for applying to the school, but it lets us know you’re interested and start a conversation.
